Mary L. Fox, 76 of Washington, died Friday, July 22, 2005 at the Washington County Hospital.
A Memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 24, 2005 at the United Methodist Church in Washington with the Rev. Dennis A.P. Fox officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church. A memorial in the name of Mary L. Fox has been established. Beatty Funeral Home of Washington is assisting with arrangements.
Mary was born November 30, 1928 near Mystic, Iowa the daughter of Delbert Glen and Ruth (Robertson) Mc Nair. She was united in marriage to Jack B. Fox June 30, 1947, they later divorced.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Washington and charter member of New Creation United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids. Mary was employed as a bookkeeper and secretary and also worked retail. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, wildlife, Iowa history, ceramic birds and was an excellent seamstress.
Survivors include three sons, Rev. Dennis A.P. Fox and wife Julia E.F. Poulsen of Washington, Daniel J. Fox and wife Teresa of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Dale R. Fox and wife Carolynn of Sacramento, CA; brother Donald Mc Nair of Springfield, Mo; seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Lyle and Paul.
